Privacy Policy

AfriVPN is a privacy product, and this policy is written to be read, not hidden. The short version: we do not log your online activity.

What we do NOT collect

No browsing history, websites visited, or page content.
No DNS query logs.
No connection traffic logs or bandwidth logs tied to your identity.
No selling or sharing of personal data, ever.

What we do collect (the minimum to run the service)

Account: your email address and a securely hashed password.
Subscription: billing status. Card payments are processed by our payment provider (Paystack); we never see or store your full card details.
VPN access metadata: when you connect, we generate a key for your device and assign it a tunnel IP. We store only the device's public key and assigned IP so the tunnel can work — never your private key, and never what you do through it.

Encrypted DNS

While connected, DNS lookups are routed through the tunnel to a public resolver (Cloudflare 1.1.1.1) so your network operator cannot read them. We do not keep DNS logs.

The AI safety scanner

Site-safety and tracker checks operate on domain names and request hostnames (metadata) only. Page content is never sent to our servers.

Your choices

You can delete your account at any time, which removes your account data and VPN peer assignments. Contact us to request deletion or a copy of your data.

Honest limits

A VPN protects your connection and hides your IP from sites and your network — it does not make you anonymous to a service you log into with your real identity. We will never claim "100% anonymous."
